Product Description
Sculpted in intricate detail, the Samurai chess set is based on history of sixteenth century Japan. Toyotomi Hideyoshi is the Daimyo or Great Lord represented here as the King, his Okugata as Queen, and Masamune the great Japanese sword maker as the Bishop. The Samurai is the loyal Knight, and he is aided by the Ninja Pawns.
Hand crafted of ground natural stone, and hand decorated by the professional artists of Studio Anne Carlton, this finely detailed chess set makes a beautiful and decorative statement for the home or office. New, in original factory package. All SAC chess sets are packaged in fitted presentation boxes, and are supplied with printed parchment story sheets which give the history of the set and details of the characters.
Studio Anne Carlton chess pieces are highly sought after in the collectible markets. The fact that these highly prized pieces are completely hand made greatly limits production.
